At the same time, highly qualified young professionals from a wide range of specialties continue to approach IPPSL, eager to assist Sierra Leone’s recovery by contributing to the development of the country’s public sector. With adequate support from donors like you, IPPSL anticipates ranking among the primary capacity-building and technical assistance programs in Sierra Leone, within three years.
The IPPSL International Fellowship Program and our organizational operating expenses have been funded in full by the University of California at Berkeley, by individual donors, and by IPPSL Directors & Associates. The University of California at Berkeley provided IPPSL with seed funding necessary to cover start-up expenses and the cost of our inaugural contingent of IPPSL Fellows, while individual donors have contributed additional funds covering the cost of our third IPPSL International Fellowship Program contingent, as well as organizational management and administration expenses. This includes monies donated by IPPSL Directors & Associates, who have covered approximately $10,000 USD in operating expenses.
IPPSL is currently working with several universities to tap monies that have already been set aside and are pending allocation to like programs by those institutions and/or third party funders. However, IPPSL needs substantial additional funds to continue to cover organizational operating expenses and the cost of the IPPSL International Fellowship Program, which would ideally come in the form of multi-year support that enables the long-term planning and coordination of our programs and the efficiencies that result.
The generosity of donors like you will serve to fund the ongoing planning, coordination, implementation, and management of the IPPSL International Fellowship Program, as well as our organization’s general operating expenses. It is the distinguished desire of the IPPSL Board of Directors & Associates to allocate all monies raised through our Google® Checkout™ for Nonprofits portal toward funding the following major needs and objectives of IPPSL, Inc.:
